Eurovision Opening Day on May 9th |

 The opening ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held May 9, the national Victory Day holiday, while the final will be held May 16, Mayor Yury Luzhkov said in a decree published Thursday on the City Hall web site.
It will be the first time that Russia hosts Europe's most prestigious pop contest, thanks to Russian singer Dima Bilan's victory with his song "Believe" at this year's event in Belgrade, Serbia. |

Bulgaria: 'Be a star' 7th heat results |

 Yesterday the seventh heat of the Bulgarian selection 'Be a star' for Eurovision 2009 was broadcasted by BNT, the Bulgarian broadcaster.
Three songs out of five made it to the next level of the selection.

 STV, the Swedish broadcaster, announced earlier this afternoon the second wildcard for Melodifestivalen 2009.
Malena Ernman is the second wildcard and she will participate with the song 'La voix'. |

Seven more entries for the Melodifestivalen 2009, the Swedish selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2009, were revealed earlier today.
STV, the Swedish broadcaster, announces gradually the participants and the wildcards until reaching 28 in total. |

 For second year Spain uses MySpace to start its national selection for Eurovision 2009, Moscow, Russia.
This innovative way of songs’ selection was introduced by Spain last year, and it seems that it worked. This time MySpace returns, but the procedure will be slightly changed. |

 Bzikibi won the 6th Junior Eurovision Song Contest for Georgia with the song 'Bzz!'
Bzikibi are aparted from Giorgi and two girls both called Mariam! All of them are 10 years old and very cute!
